Our companyABOUT METRONOR

Metronor is a privately held ISO9001 certified high technology company headquartered just outside Oslo, Norway. We have subsidiaries in Wixom (MI, USA) and Munich (Germany), and a global network of partners and customers. Based on in-house innovation and research, we have since 1989 developed a range of electro-optical portable coordinate measuring systems that have become very popular among leading manufacturers worldwide. Metronor provides state-of-the-art Dimensional Management Solutions for complex assembly programs. Main products include Portable CMMs and Boresight systems.

Our core photogrammetric technology developed into a variety of product versions, addressing the moderate to highest degree of accuracy requirements. We have expanded our product range to include custom products and solutions for MIL-STD 3DOF and 6DOF boresight applications in the military business area, besides the industrial metrology systems. A vast number of applications in various industries can be accurately and efficiently documented, providing the customer with excellent ROI from his investment.

Metronor enters medical market – initial multi-system contract signed.

Military multi-systems

Initial multi-system boresight order for F-16.

Energy market

Contract to equip all the 15 production facilities of the world’s largest wind turbine blade manufacturer with measurement systems and procedures.

2008

BAE Systems

Cooperation agreement signed with BAE Systems to develop and market boresight systems for US platforms.

2006

MSBU

Military boresight activity becomes separate business unit (MSBU).

2004

Entering the Military market

Metronor signs its initial military boresight contract.

1997

NASA

International Space Station modules from different countries documented and verified for fit by Boeing under contract to NASA.

Opening a new location

Metronor Inc (USA) is established.

1993

Opening a new location

Metronor GmbH (Germany) is established.

1991

First deliveries
