Adding cameras to a Metronor DUO system improves freedom of movement during measurement and increases measurement accuracy.
By positioning cameras around the object and freely pairing any two or more of them – in the same coordinate system – the operator can complete all measurements in a single session, without ever worrying about camera or object repositioning. Regardless of the object shape.
When using more than two cameras for any given measurement, both accuracy and repeatability are improved – even beyond Metronor DUO levels.
Measuring with more than two cameras at the same time allows you to move around your object freely, taking measurements as necessary both with the M-Scan 120 and with any Lightpen probing unit. All in one go.
With the MultiCam functionality you can add more cameras into an existing Metronor DUO set-up and create multiple pairings, measuring with any two cameras or any combination of two or more cameras at the same time. For example, with a 4-camera system you can set up two horizontal and two vertical DUO pairs and/or one overall 4-camera network, where all 4 cameras measure the visible handheld sensor at the same time. Or two diagonal pairs, or 4 different 3-camera networks – whatever combination suits your task best.
At any time, it is possible to add more cameras to your system, which makes a further extension to 5, 6 ormore cameras an option for any future projects.
